Users Encountered Error Message "Oops...An Issue Occurred"
Instagram users encountered a widespread outage on February 16, 2022, preventing them from accessing the platform. Upon attempting to load the page, users were greeted with an error message that read "Oops...An issue occurred." The issue affected users from various regions worldwide.
The outage lasted for approximately two hours, during which time users were unable to post, comment, or view content. The official Instagram account tweeted, "We're aware that some people are having trouble accessing Instagram. We're working to fix it and will keep you updated."
Instagram later confirmed that the outage had been resolved, tweeting, "We're back! We apologize for the interruption in service. Thanks for your patience." No official reason was given for the outage, but it is believed to have been a technical issue.
