Celtics Dominate Mavericks in Game 1

Boston's Depth, Luka-Kyrie Duo's Struggles Prove Pivotal

Boston, MA - The Boston Celtics have taken an early advantage in the NBA Finals, cruising past the Dallas Mavericks 112-90 in Game 1 at TD Garden on Thursday night.

Boston's superior depth proved too much for Dallas. The Celtics received contributions from across their roster, with Jaylen Brown leading the way with 29 points and Kristaps Porzingis adding 22 points and 12 rebounds.

Meanwhile, the highly anticipated Luka Dončić-Kyrie Irving duo struggled to find their rhythm for the Mavericks. Dončić finished with just 20 points on 6-of-18 shooting, while Irving added 19 points but committed 6 turnovers.

The Celtics jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. They shot 51.9% from the field and held the Mavericks to just 42.3%.

Game 2 of the NBA Finals will be played in Boston on Sunday night.
