Spurs Late Show Saves Postecoglou Blushes At Coventry

Late goals from Richarlison and Harry Kane spared Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou blushes as Tottenham scrambled a 3-2 win against Coventry in the FA Cup fourth round.

Spurs were trailing 2-1 heading into the final 10 minutes of the match and looked set for a shock exit at the hands of the Championship side.

But Richarlison levelled the scores in the 84th minute before Kane netted a dramatic winner in the 89th minute to send the visitors through to the fifth round.

The result was a relief for Postecoglou, whose team had been second best for much of the match.

Postecoglou made nine changes to his team from the side that beat Rangers in the Scottish Cup last weekend, but it was a gamble that backfired.

Coventry took the lead in the 19th minute when Viktor Gyokeres flicked home a cross from Gustavo Hamer.

Tottenham equalised in the 38th minute when Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg drilled a low shot into the bottom corner.

But Coventry regained the lead in the 78th minute when Callum Doyle headed home a corner.

Postecoglou threw on Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski in a bid to salvage the game, and it proved to be the right call.

Richarlison levelled the scores in the 84th minute with a close-range finish, before Kane netted the winner in the 89th minute with a header.

The win was a relief for Postecoglou, who will now be hoping to lead his team to a successful end to the season.
