Blas Pérez, a Panamanian professional soccer player whose prowess on the field earned him the nickname "El Ratón" (The Mouse), was born on March 13, 1981, in Panama City, Panama. His talent caught the attention of professional scouts, and he eventually signed with hometown club CD Árabe Unido.

In 2015, Pérez signed with Querétaro FC, where he continued his impressive form, winning the Clausura 2016 championship.
